Talking Walk, walk, walk!

Well, I've signed up so it's time to get my fat ass moving! Click here to enlarge One small dilemma though. My previous team of three has disintegrated due to injury. Click here to enlarge I am now a team of one and I don't want to be a team of one.I'll have to see if I can convince some else that this the best weekend event and that they will have a wonderful time. Any takers out there?

I did get out with my dog today. His ability to walk nicely has improved, unless he sees a squirrel or another dog. At that point he becomes a dog balloon. Oh well, it will get better.

Total walked - 7 kms.

When is it? How much would I have to gather in pledges? And what happens if you don't get a ton of money in pledges?

We walk 60 kms over 2 days (September 8th and 9th) and you are required to raise $2000. If you don't raise it all you can self donate but I've never had a problem getting to goal. I may actually have a yard sale to get rid of some crap - I mean really good stuff, and donate the proceeds. There are lots of fundraising ideas on the website that you can do as well. As a team, once one person hits $2000, they pass on their donations to their team mates to help them get to the goal.

If you do this, you will not regret it. This is one of my favourite weekends of the year. Click here to enlarge

Good on you for doing this. A pal did it a few years ago. I know there is no way I could do it. The overnight Relay for Life messed up my feet for like a week afterwards.

I think I'm going to try to horn in on my SiL's Relay for Life team and this time I'll be nicer to my feet.

Good luck to you.

Thank you Betholio!

Out with my dog again today. Not as nice today as it was yesterday but I really can't complain, it is March. Click here to enlarge I definitely need to get new shoes but I think I'll wait until it dries up a bit more.

Total walked - 13 kms

Of all of the places to post your spam you chose my walking blog?? Sigh Click here to enlarge

Out today with my dog for a very windy and cold 3 kms. I know, I know, it's only March even though this week felt more like May. I've got to get started on my fundraising but I'm really hesitant without someone to walk with. I know that I could just join a existing team but what is they ended up being no fun to be with? I've always had a lot of fun doing this and I am not ready yet to give up on doing the walk.

Total walked - 16 kms
