The last three months were easy.

Now it's hard.

I'm even dreaming about it and sometimes thinking that just one wouldn't hurt the baby. Click here to enlarge Bullshit.

I hate the smell on other people, it's the act of getting a break that I miss.

Why'd it have to get hard again??? Click here to enlarge

I remember on one of my previous quit attempts, I was using some sort of program, (the name of which has slipped my mind) anyway, they said that difficult times were often experienced at three days (when the nicotine has finally left your body), three weeks and three months. I can't remember the theory behind these significant time periods but it was said to be fairly common.

Hang in there. You can do it. You need to find something else to use as a break activity. Personally, I'm sitting down with a cold bottle of water when I need that break. It's a hell of alot healthier than smoking. I hope you find something that works for you.

Allen Carr's Easyway to Quit Smoking explains that the nicotine withdrawal is the easy part to get over, but yiur brain telling you "I want a cigarette" takes longer and you have to sort of rebrainwash yourself. I am reading the book now, trying to quit as I am doing IVF right now...I don't want to spend all this money and finally get pregnant only to be unable to enjoy it due to smoking.

Today someone smoked while we had cuban coffees from Caribou and I almost did it. I was with someone who wouldn't have told me no if I asked for it and I kept thinking "just this once."

I didn't do it but it was so close. If I can keep toeing the line I'll be alright. If I can make it through that experience today I can go through anything.

Piehole, I quit almost 11 months ago and this last month has been really odd. I thought I had all my cravings behind me, but I have a feeling it's the warmer weather that is making me somehow remember those 3 1/2 minutes of just me time.

Hang in there, you're not alone

Thank you guys so much. I keep smoking in my dreams but the wakeful cravings are better a bit.
