So dissapointed in myself.

Dh & I had a birthday in March and we made a pact that we would never smoke again. We had both previously smoked and partied a lot when we met and dated, but quit after we had been married for a couple years, right before I got pregnant with my first child.

I have since "socially smoked" more than I care to admit in the last few years (never when pregnant).

Anyway, last weekend we had dh's co-workers over for a bbq and my dh offered me one of his boss's ciggies. I had had a couple glasses of wine and couldn't say no, after all it was he who I had this sacred pact with. Click here to enlarge I am so dissapointed in myself for giving in. I have since bought a pack and smoked another couple ciggies at a girl's night out on Friday.

I am so done. I feel awful. I have no willpower after a few drinks.

What sucks the most is that it had already been a few months ciggy-free and I had gotten to a point where I did not even have cravings anymore. Not even after a few drinks. What was I thinking? Ugh.

Oh fuck, you amde a mistake and now get over it! Throw them away (preferably somewhere where you can't get them back) and continue your non-smoking life!
You're stronger! Don't give up, you haven't lost the battle yet!

Yes, I do need to get over it. I have been in the mood to dwell over shit lately. I was just proud of myself for doing so good. Oh well. Life goes on. I felt so icky the next day after smoking. Can't stand that feeling... blech.

But did you go on quitting or did you smoke again after the bad day? So are you doing with or without cigs right now?

Don't stop being proud! You have been smoke-free for a couple of months, there is no way someone can take those months away. Making a mistake doesn't erase your success, you just need to continue the success!

No, I have been smoke free (again) since this Friday night when I had a couple. I just wish I could give it up for good without any setbacks. Hoping to start fresh again.

Thanks for your supportive words. It helps.

You are good at this shit. And, yes I have been ciggy free since. But, my weakness is when I am having a couple drinks with friends. That is the real challenge. Hoping I can stay strong. I know I can!

Well done! How many days now?

Bu what's this shit about *hoping to stay strong*? Giving in is a choice, and you'd better make the choice NOT to!

Still smoke free since June 10th. Click here to enlarge Although, I just got invited to another ladies night out on Saturday. Drinking with friends is(was) my big weakness. I almost want to go to prove it to myself that I am back on the wagon.

Lately, I have been feeling really down which just sucks and it doesn't help with trying to stay butt free. When the drinks are flowing and the conversation is going I get that urge to light up. Ugh.

Don't even dare to smoke there!
You're so not going to make all the efforts undone *for fun*. Oh no, no way.

You'll party, and you're going to be proud of not smoking. There is no other option. Don't even try to wonder *what if*. NO. there is NOOOOOO option of smoking! If you're failing and getting close to lighting one then wonder if you wuld light it if I would be waving a 50.000-dollar note in front of you. I bet you'd be so distracted and dagobertish that you would throw the cig away. So you can choose not to smoke. It will not stop your life or anything...

Now make us proud! Click here to enlarge
