I fell off the fooking wagon.

I'm working on forumlating a plan. Right now, I have about 4-6 smokes a day, while I pretend Friday & Saturday didn't happen at all Click here to enlarge

I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the $$ on Wellbutrin (I have an RX for it, but ins won't cover it Click here to enlarge) or on the patch.

BTW, dh is currently researching prices on the Wellbutrin - our regular pharmacy charges $114 for a month, that's $3.80 per day (more than a pack of smokes, isn't that ironic Click here to enlarge) but they will match any other price plus offer a $10 coupon. I'd much rather do the Wellbutrin than the patch.

I thought you were doing Sunday as your "choose to quit" date, that's why I was asking how you were doing.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I hope you can get on the Wellbutrin. I'm with you in that I'd prefer that over the patch.

Have you checked out this website? www.quitsmokingonline.com

Another quitter referred me to that site at the beginning of my quit when I was having a really hard time.

The guy is really verbose, but if you can get through all the different modules, you'll come away with some useful techniques to get you through the withdrawals.

For me, the actual physical withdrawal symptoms were easy to deal with. It is the whole mental part of it that I struggle with. This guy shows you ways to deal with that.

It's kind of corny, but if you're like me and are a mind over matter type of person, this can really help you out.

Good luck, AMG. It's hard, but you can do it. Click here to enlarge

Don't mean to hijack here. I just wanted to add that I used the site GND mentioned when I was quitting. It made all the difference. I've just passed my year mark, and I truly believe that quitting will be as hard or as easy as you make it. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!

Sunday was going to be my quit date, but I had leftovers from Sat Click here to enlarge

The biggest problem is that I really don't WANT to quit. Not 100%. Which is why I'm totally lame Click here to enlarge And I sat daown with myself & was honest with myself. I can blah balh blah all over the place about how I can do it, but the fact is, I don't want to. So I have to have a plan. And I have to have an agreement with myself that I will follow the plan. And the perimenopause isn't helping Click here to enlarge

Wabbit, you were the "another quitter" that I was referring to in my post. Click here to enlarge I got that site from you.

AMG, really try that site. Read it while you decide whether you are going to quit or not. I will bet it will help you make up your mind that you want to be a nonsmoker. I firmly believe that you have to be ready to do it, and a lot of what this guy says will help prepare you.

You can do it! Let us know when your new quit date is so we can cheer you on. Click here to enlarge
