Anyone want to check in?

I'm 3 weeks and 2 days with no cigarettes. It's weird to think of myself as a nonsmoker.

The physical changes are kind of hard to get used to, like the weight gain. My metabolism has really slowed and I need to make some adjustments to maintain (and even more adjustments since I am trying to lose.) Others have told me that my metabolism will even out over time, though, and I hope it's true for me.

The other thing is I have the.worst.gas.ever. I used to have nice fluffy, airy, mostly odorless farts and now they are hot and stinky. I am obviously eating something that is not agreeing with me. I just can't figure out what it is! Click here to enlarge

I'll check in, even though it's been a while since I quit. I made it past a year, when I first decided to quit, I didn't really think I'd get to this point. I'm so glad that I did! It's funny how much I think about how much I used to smoke. I think its great that I can think about me smoking, without actually wanting to smoke anymore. Yeah, it made sense it my head Click here to enlarge

Are you eating more veggies GND? The same thing happened to me Click here to enlarge Click here to enlarge
Try papaya enzyme, they sell chewable tablets that really do the trick.

I am past one month. I didn't even cheat. Click here to enlarge I still get the urge, especially when I am having a rough and shitty day (or in this case, week) but I think about it less and less as time passes.

An amazing charity
Please remind your children what to do if their clothing catches fire. It could save their life.

I'm still smoke-free. I quit December 17, 2005. I still really want a cig at times. I could easily sneak a drag from DH, but won't break down and do it.
