Tell us something amusing About yourself that will make us wet our pissflaps.
Ok, here's my dirtiest little secret, since you'll find out anyway I'm sure.....I'm *technically* married to my ex-husband's brother. Spare me the Jerry Springer lecture, it's not as white trash as it sounds, honestly Click here to enlarge.

If you heard of Sybermoms by "word of mouth", what is the one thing that stuck out most for you, About our reputation?

What is the significance of the username you have chosen for yourself here? One of my patients calls me "Miss Jane". Sorry, nothing juicy (wasn't the brother thing enough?).

Hope to enjoy my stay ~Miss J.

About he car seats

Well, I didn't want to get to this right away, because I was looking for a fun mom support group to take my mind off of it......

My 5 year old was paralyzed in a car accident a few months ago because her DUMB ASS father didn't have her in her booster seat. I've been overwhelmed with sadness. I know I should just be happy she is alive, and I am, but God I wish this didn't have to happen to her.

She still has full use of her arms and she didn't have a head injury, so she's still the same sweet child. I don't know what else to say about it. Just hangin in there Click here to enlarge. Would love to share some pics sometime if someone would tell me how to post them.

Anyway......let me take a breather and we'll get into the "keepin it in the family" gossip Click here to enlarge.

Yes, he lost his license because of the circumstances of the accident. Apparently he wasn't paying attention and smashed head on into an overpass on the highway at full speed.

DD had a seatbelt on, but because she wasn't in a booster, the seat belt fit across her chest in the wrong spot. Her spine snapped upon impact.

Witnesses said in the police report that he was driving erradically. *sigh* What an ass..........

Thanks everyone. I hope her story made someone out there buy a booster seat, or at least make sure the seats you have are the right ones.

What I am looking for is just some regular mom conversation! I don't want to talk about MRI's and stem cells and spinal cord injuries.

I want to dish the gossip, bash dh's complain about crabby toddlers--you know what I mean.

Hope to find that here Click here to enlarge.

My DS (also 5) does have a booster seat, but I did read your post outloud to his father. We are constantly arguing (I always win though) about DS's need to be in a booster seat and when I read that to him he actually teared up, finally something got through to him, he said he won't complain about transferring the booster anymore when he takes DS on a boy's day out "just up the road".
