"I can see your face is fatter..."

I was at a block party tonight with ds and saw one of my friends from school. She knows I am pg. Now I am not REALLY showing yet, but if you know me you can tell by boobs and a little belly. One of the girls she is with is another girl we go to school, I wouldn't really call her a friend.

She asked if I was pg and then said she could tell because my face looked fatter. Click here to enlarge

First, I would never say this to anyone, especially when pg. Second, it really doesn't look fatter since I am only back up to where I started BEFORE pg. Now I am all self-conscious. Bitch. Click here to enlarge

Isn't it crazy what people say? I get really swollen when pg and at the end with ds2 my office manager commented to me how swollen my face was, I wanted to tell her it was swollen like her ass, but didn't think that was too appropriate.
Normally to that kind of comment I would say something like "no I am just getting fat" and leave it at that.

Ugh! I hate when people say shit like that, especially if it's something they think they can see that's not really there. It wasn't really insulting but these two ladies at work told me I'd dropped when I could still feel the baby up in my ribs. I couldn't convice them otherwise, THEY knew better. I went to an appt a few days later and the doc said the baby was really high. Click here to enlarge

I always laugh and say, "What did you just say???". I love watching people stammer after that, "Oh, no. I didn't mean, 'fat'...I meant...uhh...". Click here to enlarge

That is a good response Wren. It makes people realize what crap they have just let escape from their mouths.
