So I guess it's a boy...

That is, if this lady who came up to me, laid her palm on my stomach, and announced "It's a boy" is to be believed.

Seriously, just because there's a baby in there, my belly is the property of the world?

(Oh, and she didn't make any psychic claims--she just said "Look how high you're carrying. It's a boy." And walked off.)

Kick her in the knee. Say "It's going to bruise and hurt" and walk away. No one outside my family has tried to touch my stomach yet. I really hope they don't.

She was a complete stranger whom I will never see again (I was away from home). It was so weird.

I have no problem with people rubbing my tummy, but I'm kind of a touchy-feely person, anyway. However, I do have a huge problem with my dd's Kindergarten friends running up to me and trying to lift up my t-shirt to look at my belly. Click here to enlarge Click here to enlarge

A 3 year old at Sammi's daycare asked me "Why is your tummy fat?"

I told her that in MY case it's because there's a baby in there, but it's really not nice to ask people that.

No one ever touched my belly without asking me. Not once. I guess I was lucky. And no, it's not because my belly was horrifying and grotesque.

When I was about 12-13 weeks pregnant, my neighbors had a friend over. She immediately knew I was pregnant (which I found impressive, because it was nearly dark outside, and I wasn't showing yet, and hadn't told said neighbor). She put her hands on my belly and told me it was a boy. Considering how things turned out, I was pretty impressed.

i didn't mind people touching my belly when I had a bigger belly, and they were nice about it (like telling me how great I looked. Click here to enlarge)
