With my m/c, I was showing less growth than what was expected. I KNEW when I ovulated, so there was no question with that. But when I had a really visible yolk sac and even a tiny fetal pole, the yolk sac size and gestational sac size were not in sync with each other, it was very obvious to even my untrained eye...the yolk sac was taking up almost all the space, things just weren't growing right.

when I had a blighted ovum (super early m/c) there was only one kind of sac and not the other kind of sac. and I don't remember which is which. also my hcg stayed super super low.

ok i had that question - the gestational sac is the big one. and the yolk sac is inside of it. so today they said i had a good yolk sac. that would rule out blighted ovum? or no?

not completely from what I understand-- give it another week or so and when they can see the fetal pole it's a pretty sure thing. my hcg was never high enough for anyone to really think the pregnancy was viable. I have fucked up ovaries and crappy eggs so it wasn't that much of a surprise.

I had a BO too and they knew right away it would 99% be a m/c. They did have me come back in a week to check and sure enough it still didn't grow that much and I m/c naturally at 8 weeks.

No, implantation spotting would be before your period is due.

The spotting this time around could be that you have two pregnancies (three really) close together. Each pregnancy is different.

My vote is that you are further than you measured, because of retroversion of your uterus, and will measure 7 to 8 weeks on Monday.

Good luck.

This happened to me with Claudia. I went in thinking I was 7 weeks and all we could see was an empty sac. They were all "don't worry, this happens a lot, your dates are probably off" and for 2 weeks I teetered on insanity. I went back and sure enough there was my blob with a heartbeat, measuring 7 weeks. I ovulated the day I thought my period was due. It all worked out, and I had a healthy baby.
