I did the following:

* Went on a low sodium diet. It's not supposed to make a difference, but my edema in the ankles had gotten SO BAD and polyhydramnios makes edema worse (more pressure on the vascular system) so it couldn't hurt.

* Took 3 days of a homeopathic remedy called nat mur. I took EXACTLY what I read from various sources, and took the lowest potency possible.

* Low(ish) sugar diet, in case gestational diabetes was causing the polyhydramnios (it wasn't).

* Epsom salts baths--3 days in a row on, 4 days off, repeating. 2-3 cups of epsom salts in a bath and then I soaked for an hour. I took 36 ounces of water to drink, and peed out at least as much during the bath (not IN the bathtub ). Boy did those baths reduce the edema dramatically--by day 2 I could see a huge difference, and I see an increase in edema during the 4 days I don't do the baths.

I have NO IDEA if any of that helped reduce my amniotic fluid. But it made me feel like I could "do something" instead of just panicking.

Oh--and the CNMs are not talking induction anymore. The high risk OB still wants to monitor and "see if it's needed."

I say bullshit to that if my fluid levels remain below polyhydramnios level, because I have ZERO other risk factors--I'm GBS negative (woot!) and have has 8,000 tests this week ruling out other risk issues.

So watch--I'll go two weeks over

I am soooooo much more comfortable and have so much more mobility today vs. 2 weeks ago. What a difference.
