19 weeks and Ultrasound tomorrow

Hey, I just realized that next week is both 1/2 way through the pregnancy, and about 1/2 way through dh's deployment too.

Dh wants to know the sex, so if they can see it on tomorrow's checking-things-out scan, then I'll know if I'm going with dh's ultimate wish for the boy name, or if we get to bang out heads against walls trying to find a girl name Click here to enlarge

I've been feeling lots of little thumps from in there, so that's cool. No specific reason to suspect we might see anything worrisome, but I still worry a tad anyway. I've been much more apprehensive about letting this pregnancy feel real, since having a miscarriage earlier this year. I've finally popped out enough that it's a bit more obvious I'm pregnant, so between that and all the thumping, here at 19 weeks it's finally sinking in that I'll likely be holding a new little baby around Christmastime.

Click here to enlarge Don't you love that first ultrasound where the baby actually looks like a baby! Best of luck to y'all.

We're back from ours. The baby looks great. The lady's measuring this time put the due date at my original assumption of Christmas (but the first trimester ultrasound, she gave me a due date of New Year's). We saw nothing worrisome at all. Lots of wiggles and kids, tons of itty bitty bones, all the right organs, a brain too!

And it looks like our third little girl! Click here to enlarge

I can honestly say that I hadn't cemented a preference about the sex, but when I found out I was both disappointed and tickled. We don't get to use that boy name we had picked out. I'm also amused that my mother's girl child (me) was the one she liked the least, and now she's going to have 6 granddaughters, and quite likely no grandsons. Ha ha on mom. Click here to enlarge
