If I see one more thread about how someone's cervix hasn't changed at 36 weeks and the baby is never going to come, I'm going to lose my mind Click here to enlarge

That shit makes me crazy, too. A friend of mine on Facebook was talking about "eviction" plans around 32 weeks and I was shocked. She is a first time mom and her constant complaining about how the baby would never be born was driving me fucking batty. I almost deleted her from my list. Apparently he was born about 38.5 weeks from whatever the hell she was doing to hurry things along. So stupid if you ask me.

I think everyone there expects an induction a week early or on their due date. Insane.

I think I may "enjoy" the poor women who are all, "I'm a centimeter dilated! Woo-hoo! Any day now!"

But yes, the last 4 and first 4 with baby are awful at most boards. Also, around 2 months when people need sleeeeep and have started crying it out and baby needs cereal in her bottle to sleep/ reflux, and is it too soon to start trying again?

I actually found the birth board at Mothering more palatable. Click here to enlarge I know, shocker, right? Click here to enlarge

Oh yeah, I will NOT be visiting when the babes are newborns. In fact, I might just delete my account. People who had preemies for fuck's sake are already posting "HELP my baby will only sleep if I'm holding her Click here to enlarge" crap. Click here to enlarge

I stopped posting at Fertile Thoughts after our babies were all born mostly because of that attitude - "can I put cereal in the bottle because my Mom did it and I turned out ok?" Shit like that pissed me off. Then there was one thread where someone was trying t get her breastfed baby to drink from a bottle but the baby wouldn't. Smart baby. Anyway, I suggested trying a sippy cup and they were all like "a sippy cup for a 4 month old? Blasphemer!" Yet, they were all ready to start the babies on solids at 4 months. And then they couldn't understand why their normally happy quiet sleepy babies were awake all night with tummy issues. Click here to enlarge

I think new/first time moms are just so anxious to have their baby.

People ask me when I'm due and then they are like "oh I'm sorry, you have so long to go" and I just laugh and say it's more then okay. Baby can take plenty of time. I don't want him/her here tomorrow! I'm not ready yet! Click here to enlarge

This thread reminds me of a run-in I had with another mom at the ped's when the twins were toddlers. We were in the waiting room and this woman remarked at how small the kids were. I replied that they were actually good sizes considering they were born at 31 weeks and her comment back to me was, "Oh, how lucky not to have to go through all the end of pregnancy shit." Oh yeah, I really much preferred to have my kids in the NICU for a month and then bringing my son home on an apnea monitor to keep him alive as opposed to having to deal with all the late pregnancy stuff. Cluefuckingless.

I just read a thread on there today - a lady too 2 oz of castor oil because "37 weeks is long enough" and now her baby is in the NICU with breathing problems. She's blaming herself and everyone's like "don't blame yourself!!"

Stinky - that's my go-to site when I need to just laugh at the ignorance of some women. That's the board where someone posted that because she's 18 week she's halfway done with her pregnancy. At least someone had the smarts to tell her she's not quite there. Click here to enlarge But they're all planning on early inductions so hey - 36 weeks could be it, right? Click here to enlarge
