The Depends pads really aren't much more than an overnight pad, but they do manage to hide the um, odor better. Click here to enlarge

there is no way a Depends would hold your water breaking anyway. I had a huge mess to clean up when my water broke with youngest(first time I'd experienced it) To get to the hospital, I stuffed a folded up infant prefold in my underwear. Mine broke with #'s 1 and 2 and I was fine. It just sort of trickled out. It didn't gush it just trickled.

I probably shoved a diaper down my pants with the 2nd one, but with the 1st one I used a pad and that was fine.

I had hydropoly whatever it is called and I gushed water everywhere. Completely soaked a big pad before I could even get my pants on. When I undressed in the L&D bathroom, there was amniotic fluid all over the floor with a trail to the bed. Click here to enlarge

maybe it is polyhydro something, what ever the condition is when you have excess amniotic fluid.
