Okay so yesterday was the eleven week mark, which also happened to be the EDD of the baby I lost in March at exactly 11 weeks. It was also the day after my dd turned 11. I'm 33, and if you divide that by the number of children I'll have once this baby comes, you get 11. So 11 must be my number.
Anyway, last week at exactly 10 weeks, I got an OB nurse at work to find the HB for me. It was such a sweet sound. To ease my paranoia, I had another OB nurse find it again for me this past Monday night at 10 weeks 5 days. Again, sweetest sound I've heard since I was pregnant with Sydney.
The first time we found the heartbeat, it was really low - like right at my pubic hairline. The second time I was surprised how much higher we found it - about 2 inches below my belly button and to the right. I got to listen for a few minutes and the nurse took the probe off my belly, then remembered to ask if I wanted to record it on my phone. When she put the probe back down, baby started playing hide and seek. I could swear I could feel baby inside there, bouncing off my uterine walls trying to get away from the probe.
Anyway, I took a pic tonight (well last night technically) because there are some definite changes going on in my appearance. I'm aware that much of this belly is internal organs just being shoved upward, but it's definitely getting hard to hide - and when I get full of gas OMG is my belly huge.
