Uncomfortable

I am so not ready for this pregnancy to be over, but my midsection is running out of room. I was measuring 35-36 weeks already at 30 weeks, and I am 34 weeks now. It is getting harder to get comfortable in any position, and my pelvis feels Click here to enlarge. I have had some Braxton hicks contractions, but thankfully not many, and only when I am up doing a lot. The c-section is scheduled for 5 weeks from Friday. I wonder how much more physically miserable I will get before the big day. I am scheduled to work right up until the week before he is born, and the 12 hour shifts are starting to wear me down, even though I am typically only working 2 nights a week.

Are you using a maternity belt? Some people love them, some people can't stand them, but it might help with the pelvic-breaking sensation.

I cannot imagine working while pregnant, period- pregnancy can be so exhausting in and of itself.

Just a little more than a month. You can do it. Click here to enlarge

I have one and it does little more than make me sweat even more than I already am. I swear I am the sweatiest beast on the planet lately, and the assholes at work get cold and turn the damn thermostat up to 85 degrees behind my back. It is like they think I won't notice. They don't seem to understand that they can always put on more clothes or grab a blanket, but I can't wear any less than I already am. Click here to enlarge

OTT, what do you do for work? I have a desk job so I'm sure I will be able to work up until the end barring complications.

I remember that big, uncomfortable feeling from my last preg. Hang in there...the end is in sight!

I'm an ICU nurse, Jen. Twelve hour shifts two or three nights a week at this point. I am pretty sure if I stripped, at least the alert and oriented patients would report me. Click here to enlarge
