Archie is unusual, not weird. Same as Rosie. Nobody ever asks how to spell it.

Me too. I find it strange that it's not caught on. So many common names these days are old-fashioned, but we almost never meet a Rosie.

Anyway, I doubt people ask how to spell Wolfgang or Scarlet too often. (Or does she have a double T? Maybe they do. Click here to enlarge ) Those are also in the old-fashioned, uncommon category.

But a Cris would cause different sorts of issues.

I actually met a lady who designs little boy's clothing and her kid is a Hank but not a true Hank - he is a Henry and they call him Hank. Other than that, it's my kid and then all old men Click here to enlarge

Rosie's a Rosemary instead of a Rose only because the chosen middle name was Jane for my grandmother and Rose Jane sounds stupid. Our moms are both Mary so Rosemary was a nice way to honor them too. Plus Rosemary Jane is a totally cool stage name. Click here to enlarge

we were thinking julia rose and then just call her rose. julia was his grandma who he absolutely adored. I feel all named out. I only ever thought I would have 2 kids. Click here to enlarge I don't want to go with something too ordinary like John because it would just be strange with all the other names.

We've got a couple of Hanks down here. And Wyatts. Everyone fancies their kid a cowboy down here apparently. Click here to enlarge

I love Henry/Hank and tried for that one before Nicholas was born. It was a nonstarter. Click here to enlarge
