Question What's your opinion about chemical peels?

I am a working lady. Because of my hectic work, I get a little time to look after my skin. I have seen that my skin has been harmed and I should take some measures to deal with it. The work pressure is badly affecting my skin as well. So, I am thinking about getting a chemical peel skin treatment. I might want to know whether this should be possible on my arms and legs too? Also, how much do peels cost? Has anyone had experience with a chemical peel? Please share your views.

I've always been prone to hyperpigmentation, so you can imagine how excited I was to hear

I ordered 30% glycolic acid and 40% lactic acid. I have faithfully used this product on my scars and dark spots. All I noticed was a lot of burning, irritation, and a lot of peeling. In short, I had a rather small mark on my nose, and I wanted to get rid of it. I used both products even when my skin was peeling-after I couldn't heal properly!-"he left a very black, ugly, dark mark in the center of my nose!" The same thing happened to the scar on my chest, completely destroying my cleavage!

Now I'm planning an expensive laser operation to remove the damage that was done to my skin, If I thought I looked bad beforehand, now I look 10 times worse. I constantly cry about it and curse myself for buying any of these products.

Ladies, look out! Chemical peels are not for everyone. Especially if you have a difficult healing time and you scar easily. These online products are cheap, but they are made to be handled by a professional and can cause all kinds of skin damage.

Any other horror stories?

I don't really know. I never used chemical peels because my skin is on the sensitive side so I am not sure that it works for me

Oh sure I am not saying that they are bad for you and never use them. I just personally never really did one. My sister on the other hand has been to a number of different aestheticians throughout the years and she has tried many different chemical peels. She has a more normal typed skin so she rarely gets irritation but she does break out a lot so she has been working on her skin for many years to keep it clear. She has tried a variety of chemical peels and has been to different clinics throughout they years as well. She currently lives in the Seattle Tacoma area and the last time I came to visit she took me to a clinic that does skin care procedures including chemical peels in the Bellevue area. I really liked the way they worked (even though I omitted the chemical peel) so if you guys are looking for good aestheticians in the Bellevue area you should check them out.
