I am in the middle of a separation and waiting for a divorce...going on almost 2 years! Nothing is signed and originally we decided on shared legal custody, but he never pays for anything! He always has excuses and oftentimes I question the safety of my children with him. I called the police on one particular occasion and they said there was nothing they could do to help me and that I needed to contact domestic relations.
Whenever he has the kids, he never honors my opinions or requests. Has anyone encountered this situation and if so, how did you handle it? I am in stage 2 of child support, as I am in debt and tired of his lame excuses for lack of financial support (i.e. he owes 2, 500 in child care expenses!).

I would just tell my lawyer. Document every single thing, even trivial matters. Save it all and bring it to court with you and tell the judge exactly what he is doing.
