Unhappy could 5 mo neice be autistic

My sister and my 5 mo niece were here over the holidays and I think the baby has a problem. She has a very flat affect and shows very little smiling even at my sister. We all thought she was deaf because she doesn't seem to notice those around her or loud sounds. My sister had her hearing tested and it was fine. Also she doesn't roll over yet. Her eye contact is very minimal. She'll look at you but quickly look away. It's all very scary. Anyone have any thoughts on this or experience? Thanks!

5 very early signs of autism

It is a long read, but lots of information.

I am in no way an expert either, but it does sound a bit early. My son is 17 months and they don't even want to diagnose him yet. There are no "medical tests" to check for autism so they may just tell you to wait and see. Good luck...
