Terror and Zachsmom you have been added to the forum.

Thanks for answering Luvma.

Ophelia I do make special exceptions quite often-mostly it is a matter of providing a safe place for people to discuss their issues, and that requires a level of trust. If you want to discuss it further feel free to email me at tonyd12345@metrocast.net

Well, I just joined tonight, and really need to get some sleep, so I don't have a heap of posts, but I would love to be in the special needs forum. I'm happy to wait if I have to!

I have a daughter with epilepsy, learning disabilities and behaviour issues, let me know if you need any more info. Thanks...

I'm okay with waiting til I "qualify," but I'm very interested, too. I have a son with an autism spectrum disorder (possibly more, pending the results of some scheduled tests) I'm glad to see this forum here.

Hopefully, I'll have enough posts to qualify soon.

My son has ADHD, learning delays and a chemical imbalance that interferes with concentration.

I would love to join this forum. My 3 yr old son has Sensorineural hearing loss in his left ear and wears a hearing aide. He also receives speech therapy? Can I come in even without having 200 posts? Click here to enlarge

I'm okay with waiting until I "qualify" as well, but I'm still asking. I have a son who was recently diagnosed, well he doesn't have the formal diagnosis yet, to be on the autistic spectrum. He's 17 months and I need all the help I can get.

please....

Ok, I know I just joined but I think I could contribute a lot!

My 7 yr. old son has Tourette syndrome/OCD/ADHD....and we have learned more than I thought possible about disability advocates (get one quick if you have to have an IEP!), IEP's, 504 plans, positive behavior support plans, psychologists and psychiatrists and therapists of all kinds, oh my....

If I do need to wait another 7 weeks, I can, though, you've all done without me for this long, right?

My daughter has Tuberous Sclerosis

i just joined today and havent really figured out the site all that well yet. I know I read that you had to have so many post, which i of course dont, but let me tell you about my daughter and you can tell me if i belong here or not. Arianna will be a year old on the 30th. She was born with a rare disease called Tuberous Sclerosis. What that means is tumors can and will form in the major organs of her body, anywhere any time. She was born with a tumor in her heart that was surgically removed when she was 4 days old *if it wasnt she would be dead today* and due to the surgery she now has to have an aortic valve replacement, they created several holes in her heart just to get the darn thing out. Ok, she also has 6 tumors in her brain that cause problems, anywhere from epliepsy, complex partial, partial and mynoclonic seizures, expressive speech delays, neurological ticks, and forgetfullness.. no seriously, if she doesnt see someone for a few days she will have forgotten them, everything she learns has to be retaught because she forgets. She also has renal cyst and bilateral reflux of the bladder.
Sorry this was so long, but when telling about Arianna's medical issues it normally takes a while.
