Piggybacking after reading FG's thread. May I also have access? My youngest is borderline for ADD and could use some insight. Thanks.

Id like to join

Ive lurked on Sybermoms for years but never actually posted much. Im nowhere near 200 pposts so Ill understand if you dont let me in.

My oldest child is 21 and has bipolar. He refuses meds and self medicates with whatever he can get his hands on. Marijuana, pills, he will sniff glue and bug spray, take cold medicine until he throws up. He has been on the verge of homelessness several times. We tried the tough love approach years ago. He has been arrested a couple times for theft (cold medicine one time because he wanted the high and didnt have any money). He has been suicidal and has had several hospitalizations but always goes back to the same thing. In his eyes he does no wrong and the world owes him.

My 12 year old has Autism.

And now my 13 year old is currently hospitalized and was just diagnosed with bipolar. He probably broke my nose last weekend. Im glad he is getting help and treatment. But, Im also embarrassed (policr had to come), scared, and I dont know what normal is anymore.

I'm hoping some of the other ladies will be by to give you some help, but in regards to your request for entry into the private section, we need to ask that you post a bit more on the board in other areas before that can happen.

Besides the ME, you can hit 18-hour support or some other areas.

Would it be possible for me to come in. We've had some further evals done on our youngest son. The older he gets, the more the delays seem to be piling up. I'm a little freaked.
