Thrush questions

VERY SHORT VERSION: I have thrush. Deirdre does not appear to have thrush. Do I need to dose her up with Nystatin until my thrush goes away? Or not?

LONG VERSION THAT EXPLAINS THE "CALL THE DOCTOR" RESPONSE THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE THE ANSWER TO THE SHORT VERSION:
I have thrush on one nipple. It's not spreading to the other side, and where I do have it, it's contained to an area about the size of a quarter.

Deirdre has no symptoms of any thrush in her mouth. She keeps complaining that her girlparts itch, and she did have a red rash on her vulva that cleared up after airing out, but nothing clearly yeasty.

I have been having a little bit of luck with OTC antifungal on myself, but I called my ped to find out if I need to treat Deirdre, too.

They either didn't listen, didn't communicate among themselves properly, or didn't communicate properly to me. After my call explaining to the triage nurse that "she has NO symptoms of thrush"--I specifically said "she does NOT have any white patches in her mouth," they called me telling me the doctor had called in a Nystatin RX for her to take "until there are no more white patches in her mouth."

They called my cell and left this message, and I didn't get it until after office hours. I don't know if that's the standard instruction they give, with a Nystatin RX, even though they're prescribing it, essentially, to treat ME--OR, if they think she needs Nystatin because someone didn't write down/repeat something properly.

Pharmacist has no idea.
