Do you have the 6th edition of the APA manual?
They have recalled the first printing for multiple errors. You can exchange it for free.



The 1st printing of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition (July 2009) contains a number of errors, inconsistencies, and mistakes. All known errors have been corrected with the 2nd printing.
