Yes, I am running into this as well. I started "half-assing" it and doing better.  Why put all that effort in when getting marked down for it.

MHM, I like that too. In my Business Communications class, the prof gave us a sample paper. It had all the info of what she was looking for with margins, headers, font size, cover page, and paper organization. I still have her sample and reference it from time to time for other classes. I should have put bullet points of the questions and answers and called it a day. |

| MHM | I love instructors that give an example paper of what they are looking for. Sometimes it isn't at all how I would have written it, but the example lets me know that. Trying to figure out what professors expect is nerve wracking. |

I hate that. I had a class last semester where every paper the teacher wrote "You write very well.." "You use citations from the work really well..." "Good points, good conclusions..." She never gave me anything over a fucking 94. I got an A, but it seriously pissed me off. |

Shit about school that really pisses me off!! So ok. In my Psychology of Supervision and Leadership class we had to interview a "leader" and write a paper. He gave us 5 questions to ask and we had to come up with 3 more. I wrote an excellent paper. I used all 8 questions in my paper. I get it back today and I got a 94%. He says it is written extremely well and the only reason he marked me off was because he had trouble identifying my 3 questions. You know why he had trouble identifying them? Because I wrote it so well it didn't look like a fucking interview!!! That is not even what I am really pissed about. This little douchebag that sits behind me wrote his paper literally like he typed out the questions and answered them. No flow, no sentence structure, terrible grammar and punctuation. The prof even wrote on his paper that it looks like he has a learning disability because no college sophmore should write this bad. The little fucker got a 96% on it  Then the little shit says that he loves that he can half-ass his way through classes and teachers love him. It didn't take me a lot of time to write paper so I can't say I am pissed about that, but at this level it should be a requirement that the paper be written like a college student wrote it. On top of that, I get my test back that we took last week and I got a damn 82% on it! /rant because I have an 88% in that class now. IT's my only B. |
