Yeasty ~Be forewarned~
GV does not work for everyone. The only thing it did for me was make people think Barney was a very close personal friend of mine.
But, they don't call me Yeasty for nothing. I fought thrush for 13 months with my first child and we are working on 4 months with this baby. Some people are just more prone to it than others.
Good luck!

BabyKisses my mil found it at her corner pharmacy! I called 2 CVS stores last night near my house and neither had it.

Strange I've used it too. Applied the same way as MiMi.

I however had a hell of a time finding the stuff. Call before you head to your local drugstore they may not have it.

GV stains like the dickens. Apply in the tub-you can bleach those stains out.

MiMi Yes, I've used it several times for thrush (both me and dd). I used it once at bedtime for 3 days. For dd, I would wet a Q-tip, apply the GV to it, then paint the inside of her mouth. For me, I would use the Q-tip tp paint each nipple.

GV is easy to find at most drugstores. It's usually with the first aid supplis and iodine tinctures.

Anyone ever used genetian violet?

My dd has thrush

I've been on the lookout for it, b/c she was on antibiotics and just finished them on Tuesday.

My son had thrush 3x, but we used diflucan to knock it out (I had never heard of genetian violet at that time).

Did it work for you? how long did it take to clear it up? how often did you apply it?

Thanks.
