Taylor is a freshman this year and is in the color guard, which is the dance team that performs with the band. They won states last year so she's super excited to go to states this year

silly_me_2 My 15 yr old is hoping as he gets older he will grow a better beard. It's pretty scraggly now and he gave up on no shave November already

Faster Pussycat My boys have a serious beard rivalry happening. The Irish & Italian genes manifest completely randomly in them, and pasty pale James is LOVING that he grows a thick dago beard within days while Spencer takes more than a month to get enough length to cover the patches of St.Tropez tan showing through his scruff

*I* am loving that James' beard is red. Yet another reason to Suck it, Italian ex-in-laws who used to pretend to wonder where he got freckles.

silly_me_2 My oldest with so much facial hair people think he's 30. He's "only" 19.
He had a recent run in with a 40 year old cougar in his emt class who had most people convinced she was in her 20's. That was an interesting situation. I almost posted about it to get advice but couldn't figure out exactly how to word it lol

TXchick DS has more beard than Hank, and I remember when he was 2 and we went to the zoo in San Antonio and someone's DH chased him for me when he ran off to see the lions!

How did your kids first get interested? Are they interested in competing?
I think one of the kids in H's grade brought one in and was super fast at it then the teachers got into it and provided some for the kids. I actually had a Rubik's at my work to give me something to do during conference calls but I never played with it because it was too hard so I gave it to the kids and they fight over it now.

I just bought a speed cube on Amazon for H that will be here on Monday. At least it's an educational obsession, I'm good with that
