Well, I am totally agree with every word Praxis II test information, you know first I also think it’s just a test I will study and crack that test but after so many efforts I was unable to crack it. It made me so disappointed that I thought of back out but then someone guide me and help me to take online courses or take praxis study guide material for preparing the test, they exactly tell the same things like math score, content knowledge, reading different books, etc. which I was totally unaware. Now I think praxis test is just one step away from me . You should also try some good praxis study guide for your test but only after analyzing the material given in the books. | userdavid77 | I would recommend you to join personal online courses and praxis II study guide. I have taken the Social Studies Praxis II. I did not order the study guide. I did order it when I took the Middle School Math Praxis II, and it was helpful. Just be aware, the study guide only gives you sample questions and will not guarantee that you will be 100% ready for every question on the test. In this you will learn basic details and to the point question which most of the time resembles the question paper every time. Also you have to careful about the essay and written question they are little time consumable .All the details you will learn in the praxis study guides, you can order it online. |

When it comes to the teacher’s profession you can it very much competitive and you have to prove yourself up-to the mark at many points and praxis test can is one of them which really test your skills as a teacher and give you a chance to prove yourself. It can surely be difficult for some of us but it’s all about how efficiently to prepare for it. And now a day you can have lots of option at your disposal for the nice preparation of tests like these. Either you can consider having professional coaching for it which covers most of the steps needed to get prepare for test like these or you can help yourself by getting downloadable books and notes and a hell lot of data needed to prepare for this test. The study guide is scaring me.  -What are the theologial and cultural differences of Islamic civilizations from other belief systems? -How did immigration to the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries differ from pre-Civil War immigration? -How does a comparison of life in Athens and Sparta illuminate differences among nations in the world today? -What were the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation that eventually led to its replacement by the Constitution? -What do electron-microscope pictures show us about cell shape? -How are the inner planets of the solar system different from the outer planets? 2 hours of this??? Good hell. |

Thanks, EQ. I'm not worried that it's stuff I haven't ever learned- mor ehtat it's been so long since I went over some of that stuff, I'm not sure I remember it. Like the Constitution, history stuff, etc. I just need to brush up on those things we learn and then don't use for 30 years. Maybe I'll check out the guide they send before buying anything else. |

| Earthquake | MHM, the Praxis II is a breeze. You won't have any trouble with it even without the guides. The ones that NTS sends out are actually pretty good. |

| shewhoisincharge | The company that makes up the Praxis has a list of study guides out. I can't remember now who makes out the test, but it's the same place that does the SAT's. The lady that came to speak to us recommed those, or the Barrons study guides. She said she used the Barrons in her Praxis Prep Class. HTH!! |

Awesome- thanks! Our school does offer Praxis study guides, but they are the same ones I ordered, and they only allow you to check them out for 24 hours. |

| shewhoisincharge | My school offers a Praxis Prep class in the summer that I'm going to take. It actually transfers to the edu program which is great! I am hoping that will help me. Oh, and we have a speaker coming in tomorrow night to talk to us about the Praxis. I'll ask her for any recommendations on a Praxis II guide for you. |

I don't need to take the Praxis I, so I don't know much about it. Hijack is fine.  I did register to take the II in April, and ordered a study guide from the site itself- http://www.ets.org/praxis It was $35 with shipping. I don't know if it's th ebest one or not, but I figure it's something. |

Praxis II study guides? I plan on taking the Praxis II (elementary) exam in either March or April. Has anyone here used a helpful study guide? Part of my problem is I will only be licensed to teach up to 3rd grade, but will be tested to 6th grade, and I have no clue what 6th graders are expected to know. I see a bunch of study guides out there, but most of them seem to cover a wide range of Praxis exams. I'd prefer putting money towards one that will cover the one I will be taking only. If anyone knows of a good one, please let me know!
