| hyperbabbola | I never had a problem with sizing. I think Canadian sizing must offer more range in general. We also have 3, then 3x. I haven't quite figured out what 3x equates to in American sizing, but I think it's about 4T. Our 4's are quite big, more "kid sized" than toddler sized. |

Aaaaaactually... Gymboree just came out with a 9-12 in their newborn collection. They still have the 6-12 but added the 9-12 and then it jumps to 12-18. DS is busting out of the 6-12 (tops especially) but the 12-18 are too big for him. I hate that inbetweenness look.  Oh, and he's only 9 months. He's Mr. Torso Man. |

At some point, generally around 12 months but sometimes at 18, they just stop putting size ranges on clothes. They give you the largest (average) size the garment is meant for, instead. I think it saves them on label ink. I've seen several 18 month labels (between 12 month and 24 month / 2T). Presumably kids stop growing quite so fats once they hit 1 yo, and so they don't need to make as many different sizes in between. Same again for the 2yo break. |

clothing sizes I have been going through some clothes selling them and have noticed this and wondered about it. You have 0-3 mo, 3-6mo 6-9 and then 12 mo. Why is there not a 9-12. What about the kids who are between that range. For that matter then it goes to 2T 3T 4T. Is there a reason for this? |
