Annelies if you're waiting fort he right time you may find yourself later than you want to, still smoking, still hiding.

I'll have my last in 15 mins, and doG knows I'm not looking forward to the quitting thing. but it will make me happier, and it will make you happier as well when you've won this battle!
Do you join me? Please?

TwoDee I guess I just needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for listening and for the advice. I've talked to my Dr. about it and I was prescribed Zyban which worked GREAT until I developed an allergic reaction to it. As for hiding it, I've smoked long enough to realize that a non-smoker knows if you've smoked or not. I won't go around people until I've showered, etc.

I can do this...it'll just take time.

Annelies How can we help you Twodee?

I agree with mouthy, everyone probably knows that you're smoking. No toothpaste will hide the smell, no perfume, no nothing...

You're not the weakling you say you are! You can torture yourself over and over and over again by not smoking for days if someone is around, I call that strong!

wabbit what mouthy said.

Have you been to the quitsmokingonline site? I feel like a record about it, but it really did help me to quit, easily.

mouthySCUM Pssst, now that I am a non smoker I can almost promise you that everyone knows you smoke. It was one of the things that kept me going through the initial quitting stage, wanting to continue being able to smell the stale reek of smoke on people standing half a block away from me. My kids will nevah get away with it

Make a plan, talk to your doctor. Get doing it, it does not get easier if you wait, it doesn't get harder either, it just doesn't get done.

Patsit It's okay. Deep breath..

Recognizing the problem is the first step.

TwoDee
I hate cigarettes

Moreover I hate that they control my brain. I want to be able to quit but I'm so weak. I hide that I smoke from some of my family...even from my non-smoking SO. I will go days sometimes not smoking because I'm around SO but as soon as he's gone, I light up. It's stupid!! If I can go days...why not just continue.

Damn this stupid habit!
