AMG I have decided to take my Twizzlers outside with the "gang" for "smoke breaks"

mouthySCUM It is so worth it. The quitmetres are awesome. I still check on mine and am just horrified at how much money I was burning away. Not to mention the fact that food tastes good now, and I can smell. How disgusting I feel when I smell a smoker now, and know that I smelled like that.

You want this. I promise you, you want to be a non smoker probably more than you have ever wanted anything else. It's an amazing feeling to be able to say "I'm a non smoker" and know it is true.

Anonamom Today is day 3 for me. I have the patch and it's been really easy at work because I don't normally smoke much there anyway. But at home where I usually do the majority of my smoking it is harder. But I'm hanging in there!

Girl Next Door As of about 5 minutes ago, I am 12 hours smoke free.

So far, it has been easier than I thought it would be, and then after dinner it's been really, really hard. By easy, I just mean that I have been able to keep busy and keep my mind off of the cravings. It was harder to do that after dinner. NOt sure why, though.

I keep walking around in circles and ending up on my patio with a strong urge to smoke. Thank doG I have no cigs in the vicinity or I'd be in trouble.

I hope tomorrow is just like today because if that's the case, I got this down! I will be juuuuust fine.

Occasionally I am currently smacking on Nicorette as I type. It's only been a day, but so far (SO FAR), I've been able to talk myself down from the cravings fairly easily. I go back to work tomorrow, so it won't be quite as hard becasue I'll be busy.
Nicorette gives me the hiccups.

Smeg I only smoke while at work and damnit, I just couldn't not do it last night. I bought some super, ultra, waterdown, POS lights instead though and tried smoking on different parts of my route than I normally do.

My extra motivation (besides being a role model to kids and the money thing) is being recently diagnosed with asthma and realizing that I've had unrecognized symptoms forever, besides the attack that prompted me to go in.

I imagine the pack will last me tonight and part of the next night. Then, I'm all done. Hour by hour, I'm going to try that.

http://www.silkquit.org/sqmmiv/meter.aspx

and scroll down to the bottom after you read the page. you'll see a hyperlink that says "download SILKQUIT right here for free"

it's a nifty little meter that tracks all the details of your quit, including how much money you've saved. i'm up to 4+ grand at this point.

Chimi Brown If you like them, Twizzlers are good substitutes.

Also, be sure to check out the stickies in the Kickin' Butts forum. There's some useful information there.
