Thanks that sounds much better than my life has been sucking I have shit grades.  I will find out in June if I get in. I would really like to wait until ds is in school but I want to get my hands dirty soon!

Maybe something like "In spite of many difficult life obstacles the past two years, I have found inner strength that I never imagined I had. Since my experiences of the past two years were of the medical variety and involved people I hold dearest to me, I can say unequivocally (sp?) that I want to become a nurse. I want to be able to be there for patients just as some nurses have been there for me in the past. The technical aspects of nursing appeal to me just as much as the emotional aspects. I find the medical field and the human body fascinating and I know that a career in health care would give me a great feeling of fulfillment and a true sense of purpose." I wouldn't outwardly acknowledge your GPA at all, but if they read an essay like the one above, they are hopefully going to infer that the reason for your gpa is because of a "difficult past 2 years". Writing an essay I have to write an essay and submit it with my nursing application. My gpa is only 2.99  I would like to mention that my gpa does not reflect my desiree to become a nurse. My grades have gone downhill after the past shitty two years. I'm not sharing my MS with them but I was thinking of mentioning my son's diabetes. I just don't know what to write. I guess it will come to me as I start. I just don't know if I should mention the gpa or not. They are going to see it anyway and I do not want to come across like a whine ass about my shitty luck. wwyd |
