ElisaMarie I know it's too late now, and you are either here or not, but we're here. The walk is going fine, walkers and crew are not complaining about air quality issues. I found my chest a little sore today and I coughed a bit, but I've had worse with regular old SoCal smog.

MotherCat It starts at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, through La Jolla, camping in Mission Bay. Second and third days are all around downtown.

I can't do this weekend. Arizona isn't an option.

Am I wrong to feel pissed at the 3-Day people?

Rizzo I'm in SD so where exactly are they having the walk. Some places smell really bad (like my neighborhood which burned) while other places are just fine. It's not smoky around here anymore (where we are at least) but what we smell are all the houses that burned.

San Diego 3-Day WWYD?
OK, I'm getting really really antsy with the San Diego walk.

We're up on the 9th, and according to my aunt, the air quality is still awful and the fires are still burning. They're telling everyone not to be out much, and to keep pets in.

The people at the 3 Day office (I called) are using a standard script, which is truthfully, pissing me off. They say that they're main priority is our safety, it's going on as planned, the route is along the ocean, where the air quality is better, etc.

Some posters on the message board are talking about packing masks!

So, WWYD? Would you still walk it? I'm flying there from Virginia, and I don't want to get all the way out there and be disappointed, or worse yet, sick from the air but I don't want to be a whiny loser either!
