A cleaning lady, if you can afford it.  I laugh, but really, if I had known then what I know now, we would have found the money, at least for a few months. When you are that exhausted you don't care about things like scrubbing the toilet or putting up the laundry. Also, I wish I had had the time to prepare and freeze some meals, or asked my mother to do it for me. Stuff wise, a double stroller (we had and loved the Combu Twin Savvy. Very lightweight, yet durable), 2 swings, 2 bouncy seats, eventually 2 high chairs or booster seats for the table. I had to have a good, hospital grade double electric breast pump, since my girls were premature and didn't nurse right away, or very well ever. |

http://www.multiplesoutlet.com/site/...ct/994-6481373 I had the double front pack baby carrier so I could wear both babies at once. This thing was a lifesaver. I was only able to use it for the 1st 3 or 4 months maybe, before they got to big for me to carry them both at the same time. But they detach from each other so they can be used as a single carrier, so they'll be useful even when your back can't do the two at once anymore. |

I could not have survived without my two bouncy seats. My boys are 8 mos and I'm still using them. I don't think I could have managed breastfeeding in those early weeks without my EZ2-Nurse Twin Nursing Pillow. I swear that thing was around my waist for 10 weeks straight. I never left the couch and my babies never left the pillow.. LOL I bought 2 little travel swings that were barely used. My boys just weren't into the swings. Now if I had two of my first son, he loved his swing. So you never know with swings. 2 Bumbo Seats (not till around 3mos) 2 Moby Wraps (one for me to wear and one for helper) 2 Pak-n-Plays (started with just one, got a 2nd one around 4 months when they were just to big to take naps in just one). And the single most important thing I could not have gone without is... HELP!!! Help from family, friends. My mom still comes over 3 days a week to help. She lived with us the first 8 weeks. She cooked, she cleaned, she did my laundry, she played with my 4 yr old. All the while so that I could just take care of the babies. |

I'd recommend buying two of the following: Vibrating bouncy seats (get four if you have two floors to your house) Pack 'n Plays if you plan to travel at all (most hotel cribs we found were unsafe) Baby Bjorn front pack carriers (FANTASTIC) Carseats Also, get a double stroller. We had one from Maclaren that was great. My kids fit in it until they were 5, though we mostly used it from age 0-4. In contrast, they outgrew their single Chico strollers by age 3. Buy one or two of the following: Swing Don't buy: Walker/exersaucer My kids didn't use their boppys, and I wasn't ever able to breastfeed them, so the EZ2Nurse pillow I'd bought was never used. YMMV. If you are able to breastfeed, the EZ2Nurse pillow is a good idea. Also, if you plan to bottle feed at all (either expressed milk or formula), don't buy the bottles with huge nipples (like Avent). I had only Avent bottles, and we had to run out and buy a bunch of Gerber bottles with the tiny nipples because my kids couldn't handle the huge ones. The Avent microwave steam sterilizer was great for all kinds of bottles. |

| Dive | I tandem nursed for a long time and used a boppy but my girls were tiny. The only thing we did need two of were bouncy seats and carseats (obviously). other than that, they went into most things (including the bouncy seat for a bit) together. |

Two bouncers were a necessity.  The ez2nurse was a lifesaver! It put them at just the right height and position. I tried the boppy and I spent most of the nursing time making sure they stayed on instead of just being able to relax and spend time with them. I nursed them on that pillow for at LEAST the first year, (towards the end I only used it for goodnight feedings since they started nursing at separate times after 6 or 7 months. |

The EZ2Nurse is angled inward so that they roll into you as opposed to away from you; the boppy is curved ... they'd have rolled off so easily. Two bouncers were a necessity. |

| Troll | The twin item we used most was the graco pack n play for twins. We got the duoglider stroller but it's really heavy and not worth it in my opinion. When they were old enough, we upgraded to a good Urban Mountain Buggy. If I had it to do over again, I'd get a cheap double stroller frame that snaps in the car seats. For the first six months, that's all you need in a stroller. Having two bouncy seats was also really necessary. As they get older, swings and exersaucers are great. There really aren't any special things for twins, other than a stroller and pack n play, that we found really helpful. |

For strollers, a neighbor gave me a double jogging stroller and I bought this one in a double for the time when they're in bucket seats - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2266236 It's really light and it's nice to be able to move them around without unloading them from their car seats. Especially when they're asleep. |

| MelodyMaker | The twin nursing pillow isn't a necessity, but some good firm pillows are. I made the mistake and got too soft of pillows and they didn't support the babies well. I used oversized throw pillows. The second set that were firm were life savers. I preferred them to the the twin nursing pillow that a friend loaned me. |

The boppy worked fine when they were newborns. I can't nurse them together anymore anyway because they poke at each other. Piper has reached the stage where she needs to break off and look around if someone in the next room clears their throat.

I have all my baby gear from #1, and the only things I got extras of are the floor activity gym, bouncy chair, and an extra feeding chair. I did not get a second swing or exersaucer at this time because Johanna never cared for them much, and I want to know if the new babies even likes them before I try to get extras! I got two double strollers - one is a jogging stroller, one is a Peg Perego I got off craigslist. The Peg Perego one is planned to be our main stroller and I was looking for either it or the Maclaren because they are very light and fold compact, and I had issues dealing with the massive Graco stoller for just 1 baby. They are pricy new though, which is why I was looking for a used one. |
