ImaC the Burlington Coat Factory ones have nicer fabric and they had free shipping for a while...not sure about now.

melissab Thank you all so much, I think we'll be taking trip to BabiesRUs this week to buy the Nautilus.

Outnumbered In your shoes I would buy a Graco Nautilus. I have a 2005 Freestar...they install perfectly in all LATCH positions. It's really a wonderful seat. It harnesses to 65 pounds, with 18" top harness position, then converts to a high-back booster to 100 and also a backless booster. The harness/high back portion of the seat has an expiration of 6 years and the backless has a 9 year expiration so it would be quite literally the last seat you'd need to buy.

I can't say enough good things about this seat! It's pretty much the seat I recommend 95% of the time to any forward facing child now.

Nodakbabe Have you taken a look at the Graco Nautilus? It harnesses to 65lbs, and converts to a booster. IME, it has taller top harness slots than the Radian or Marathon. And, it's on sale at Walmart.com

bleedsink The Evenflo Triumph Advanced, Sunshine Radian 65 or Graco Nautilas are all less expensive than Britax and all harness to higher weight limits. The Graco also converts to a highback and then a backless booster.

I'm trying to figure out what to do for my daughter -- we'll need to replace her seat in my husband's car soon. I'm trying to hold out until I can talk to her ped during her 5-year well visit.

Looking for a new seat

The child in my AV is in need of a new seat, she's turning 5 in Sept, she's about 38lbs and I'm sorry I have no idea how tall she is. I drive a 2006 Ford Freestar.

I'm not sure what kind of seat we have now, I know it's due to expire soon. We have a Turbo Booster but I'm not comfortable placing her in the seat. I want her to remain in a 5point harness for a little whole longer. I would love to have a Britax but I can't seem to get my DH on board, he's happier with a safer cheaper seat.

Any help would be great.
