terra Yeah, he is not losing weight. I am about to post about his two week check up.

RNdoesTX I used to say that Ava was bulimic I always handed her over with a burp cloth and the caveat "she spits up a lot". She gained weight, slept well and was not bothered in the least bit by the spitting up. Her pattern sounds very similar to your baby's. It was every.single.feeding and seemed like so much I couldn't believe she was gaining weight. My ped was totally not concerned and i never modified my diet.

Certainly talk to you ped, but if he isn't crying in pain (like reflux) or projectile vomiting (like pyloric stenosis) or losing weight, I wouldn't be overly worried

Nanimal Ds spits a lot (but not ever feeding- maybe 2x day), burps and has hiccups a lot too. But not all the time. He does seem sensitive to broccoli and asparagus. I'm starting to wonder about spinach too.

Clit He's still so new. Emma spit up a lot. It went away.

Nodakbabe DS was a spitter, and still does it even now, especially if he gulps his mik down.

terra You made me google. Okay, so now I know what pyloric stenosis is, and it definitely does not match this.

His stools are super, he is extremely well hydrated , he is putting on weight. He does not usually seem bothered by the spitting up. It is usually immediately after eating, almost always proceeded by a belch, and usually is curdled. Sometimes it is just straight "overfed" milk.

If it wasn't every time, Punkass, I wouldn't be worried. I think the combination of it being every time, along with a trend I have noticed, makes me worried. I notice trends in parenting... like, right now, it seems very "in" to pump, starting very early on, even as a stay-at-home mom. I am waiting for my supply to establish completely, then plan to pump occasionally. But while pregnant, I was worried. The other trend is, pediatrician suggesting milk sensitivity, and mom giving up dairy.

I love my dairy. I don't wanna give it up.

Empress It could be reflux or pyloric stenosis? Doesn't that make you feel better?

Nova also had diarrhea (I had idea newborns could have diarrhea) and slept fine at night, other than puking all over the bed, so the ped didn't think it was reflux.

LetThereBeLips Terra - Becky did that. For about 2 months. Tapered off in the third month and then it was gone. She was just a spitter. I eliminated dairy for a little while but it didn't make a difference. I just had lots of laundry to do.

Hope it eases up soon.

Pattern

He nurses, I burp him, then a few seconds later, he spits up more than I remember the other two doing.

Tell me it is NOT my diet.
