Nodakbabe If you all were closer, i would seriously share a bit. Just yesterday I had to pump, because I was out running errands all day, and Mikey doesn't like nursing while out and about. He'd rather stay hungry then nurse.

Another problem is that I'm paranoid about mastitis again, so if I get too full, I'll just sit and pump for 10 minutes.

SmoothieOperator We ran out of our freezer stash two weeks ago. The only milk on hand now is the four ounces I pumped today at school.

Nodakbabe If shipping with dry ice wasn't so expensive, I'd consider it, really.

Nodakbabe Well, the biggie is that DS slept thru the night for about 3 months. Around 5am, I'd wake up huge and engorged, so I'd pump, at least 4 oz. That all went in the freezer. Then, when I'm working, I'd pump, and I'd nearly always pump more than DS would take, so that'd go in the freezer. I was pumping a lot, 9-10 oz was normal for a single pumping session.

I'd also pump if we were out running errands all day, and he refused to nurse(he usually does when we're errand running) so that'd be another 4-6 ounces.

Lyerin She'll? Jeeebus. HE will. HE. He. He. He. I have to get used to the fact that this one is a BOY.

Lyerin Man, how do you get so much? I'm struggling to build a stash and felt good with my 25 or so oz (and she'll go to daycare the first day with 20 of those oz.).

Morby I'm right there with you. I have 100 oz.

Nodakbabe That's from working part time, and only pumping at work during my 8 hour shifts for the last 2 months. But, I end up pumping at home usually at least after work for both my 5 and 8 hour shifts.

Like I said, he'll be getting sippy's of breastmilk for months.

PunkassPie Wow! I have 150 ounces right now and I thought I had a lot. If I were you I would stop pumping, start weaning yourself now.

Nodakbabe The oldest is from September. I went thru a period of oversupply in the mornings, he started sleeping through the night for a few months there(11 hours a night), and I'd wake up drenched, so I'd pump. Plus pumping with work, etc. And I almost always pumped more than he'd actually drink.

Plus, a few weeks ago when he was refusing my right breast, I had to pump that a few times in order to make sure I kept up the supply, and that side is prone to mastitis, and I didn't want to end up with it again.

Melody wow! that's impressive. i think i have 15 oz. in the freezer right now.

Nodakbabe
250 ounces

That is how much breastmilk I have in my deep freeze right now. DS is now 11 months old, he's going to be drinking breastmilk in his sippy cups for months after he weans with that supply.
