intro

Hello, My name is Ruth and I am mom to 6 wonderful children, the final time I was blessed with twins! My twin girls are now 6(will turn 7 next month) and are in first grade. They are very fraternal, as one asked me when they were 3, "Mom are we Fra-Turtle?", yes they look nothing alike, but do think alike so much it is scary.

Introduction

I am the proud mother of fraternal twin boys named Garrettt & Logan. They were born via c-section at 37 weeks and 1 day following 3 1/2 months on bed rest for preterm labor and loss of cervical length.

They weighed in at 6lbs 4oz and 6lbs 1oz and went straight to the well baby nursery.

They are now 15 months old and are keeping me busy.
I never knew having BOYS could be so much fun or that I'd be so content being a SAHM.

I'm looking forward to learning & laughing a lot with everyone on this board.

Duckie Duh! I figured it out, Here are my boys one of the few times they sit still long enough for a pic thanks to baby einstien.

Duckie I guess I should have done an intro first!

I have b/b 13 month old twins, looks like fraternal, and are in the biting and fighting stage. They were 35 weekers with 7 days in NICU. Other than reflux and some ear infections, they have been healthy and happy! Currently we are working on a new sleep schedule. After cutting teeth, they were in a pattern of getting up every two hours AGAIN!! Things are starting to get better now that they play and move around more. I know I will regret saying that as soon as they start walking! Being a cherry here, can I post a pic??
Oh also I have 3 other boys ages 15, 11, and 7.

twinkletoes I see this thread bumped up!

I'm the proud mommy of g/g twins - zygosity unknown at this present time.

They were born almost 5 months ago at 32 1/2 weeks due to pre-e. Alexandra was in the NICU for 18 days & Anneliese for 29 days. They were both just short of 3lbs at birth. I spent 15 long weeks on bedrest!

They are now over 13lbs & doing great!

I'm pg with b/g twins. DH and were a tad shocked about having twins at first. Now we are very excited about their arrival. I'm hoping mine don't torture me.

Hey there! I am Jackie and I have 11 month old B/G twins. I had them by c-section at 37 weeks. The weighed 5#8 and 7#3. My dd was born with a rare birth defect that landed her in NICU for our 3 day stay and she had surgery at 9weeks old. Not a problem since. They have been terrorizing my house and cats for the past 2 months, already running, jumping and talking up a storm. God help me!

foofoo Hi,

Just tripped over this site and thought I would say Hello. i'm so happy that you have a multiples forum.

I have boy/girl twins that tuned four months old on Friday.

I'm very sleepy!!!

This is my first post and I suppose I will break my cherry a little later. Nice to be around other Moms of multiples. Even if you are apparantly a pack of bitches. Nice to be around women that I can understand.

Look forward to hanging around here a lot more. Try not to chew me up and spit me out....even though it would be a very tough chew.

Anything else anybody wants to know about me? Oh yeah, these are my first two.

BlueKitten Welcome to the group Twinsanity. Good to have you here. It sounds as if you and krazimom can share good war stories.

Twinsanity Twatwaffles Yeah, the last two put me through the ringer, that's for sure. Princess was 3 lb, 6 oz and The Barbarian was 3 lb, 9 oz. She breathed on her own but he had to be resusitated and was on a vent for a short time. They spent 5 crazy weeks in the NICU and came home on monitors (son had oxygen for feedings). Five weeks later, RSV hit and my Barbarian was back in the hospital...came home on continuous oxygen. After that he was diagnosed with scar tissue in his lungs and we've been fighting it ever since <huge sigh>

Princess seems to have come out of the preemie experience unscathed, though a bit on the petite side. My beloved Barbarian has a few issues though. He delights in entertaining a boatload of "-ologists," plus speech, physical and occupational therapists, LOL.

As for the rest of the kids, hubby lost his 2nd wife to brain cancer the year before we met/married, so his 12 (g) and 10 (b) year olds are all mine. His two oldest were already grown so not much contact there. My oldest is 21 (b) and currently taking care of his work injured dad. My 16-yr-old daughter is driving me nuts! My 14-yr-old (b) is the ADHD poster child, as is our 10-yr-old (b). About the only one at home who isn't contributing to my insanity is the 12-yr-old...oh, wait--she just hit puberty, is the PMS Princess and practices her violin incessantly. Never mind!

Ugh...I need my beauty sleep. G'nite!

Wow, looks like you have had a time and half with your two..

I have nine at home, two in college, one studying to be a priest one a doctor, not off to a bad start. The worst thing my two have had so far is an ear infection, I have been super blessed in the health department. My youngest three stay home with me, the rest are in school. I have four in football, three on one team! I am leaving shortly for their game. Hope to get to know you better! Neeter

Twinsanity Twatwaffles Chiming in here...
Wow, krazimomof10, someone who actually has more kids than I do! Are they all at home? We've got 6 out of 9 here.

Princess and The Barbarian (g/b "are they indentical?" DOH! twins) are the youngest and only "ours" in the mix. They turned 5 in August and recently started (developmental) Kindergarten. They were born at 30 weeks via emergency c-section after THE pregnancy from hell. Basically spent the majority on bedrest, the last 5 weeks in ICU after The Barbarian popped his swimmy pool.

Anyway, mothering twins is the most fun I've ever had with "short people"
