maddhands Me too - put kids to bed at 9 and then boom - major hunger strike.
I invented a treat for myself in the evenings - I poor myself a glass of milk and eat a little bit of dark chocolate. Milk is very beneficial for you and chocolate is fulfilling and healthy too. Just do it sloooowwwwly - not like this:

Agnes Nutter What's worked for me is eating more protein and less carbs with supper, it keeps me fuller and doesn't spike the blood sugar so much for a craving.

And if I have a bad craving for something sweet I'll have an herbal tea that's fruity - put some Splenda in it if you have to. It fills up your stomach, and it's hot so you sip it slowly so it keeps your hands busy. And I'm not one of those people who believes that some carrots will fool your brain into thinking it's had potato chips because they're crunchy. I hate it when people say that.

And if you're really hungry and need a snack, grab a handful of dry cereal like Honey Bunches of Oats. It's crunchy and sweet but low fat and you'll do less damage than if you ate cookies or chips or whatever.

It's the toughest habit to break, I'm going to find that the biggest challenge when I start my diet on Friday.

Help!

I'm posting out here because my membership expires tomorrow and I won't be able to see replies on the inside

I sabatoge myself with nighttime snacking. I just can't stop. I'm great until about 7pm and then bam, major pig out. I can't go to bed at 7 or 8 because my kids are up. I'm going to start trying to get in bed by 10 to help, but I don't know what to do.

Help! How do you not snack?! I know it's mind over matter but I don't have the will power and I need it.
