raemax Well I haven't seen it. But this kid is TINY. I think he now weighs 25 lbs at 2 1/2 years old. Maybe it is just my perception since my kid at 2 was about 33 lbs. But I could definitely see him wedging his way out. Especially after he pushes the chest clip down as far as it will go.

mommasharty If he can climb out with the middle thing open I'm pretty sure that the straps are not tight enough.

chest clip question

A friend of mine bought an evenflo triumph? I think (the one with the sliding harness straps). Anyway, her 2 year old is constantly working his way out of it. Basically the chest clip slides very easily along the straps, so he pushes them down and climbs out. Is there any easy fix to keep the chest clips in place?

Also, asked in the ME but would washing infant car seat straps by hand be a bad thing? I realize you aren't supposed to wash in a washing machine. But would once cause horrible damage or should I stick with spot cleaning? Thanks.
