freakmagnet In her defense - not that I want to come to her defense because I have had it with her crappy attitude and drama filled existence - but she was hired as a 'student attendant'. That means she did not have to pass any type of test or even show English proficiency to get her job. She was given a contract by the school district to work with a specific child who needed diapering and lifting. That child moved out of the district. Once she had a contract she needed to be placed in a position and we were the lucky (???) recipients.

I was fed up and told "D". She put her to work gluing cotton balls on a poster. She seemed happy doing that.

Patsit Wow, is she 12?

Coralblur Wow. I can't imagine an adult acting like that in a professional environment.

Conversation with my co-worker - Just a vent

I've vented about her before but today she was a real peach.

Her: I'm gonna go see if kindergarten wants help. (She loves kindergarten because she can just play with the kids.)

Me: Before you do that, "D" (our boss) would like you to put together a packet of Christmas activities for the kids to work on during testing.

Her: I doooaaann know how.

Me: Get the seasonal activity book out of the cupboard and choose 5 or 6 activities that look fun.

Her: I doooaaan know what book you mean.

Me: The seasonal activity book in the cupboard.

She walks over to the locked supply cabinet and yanks on the the locked door several times.

Her: I cannnnt open the door. I dooooaaan have a key.

Me: It isn't that cupboard. It is the one next to it. The one where the books are kept. (She has worked in our room for three years and knows where the workbooks are kept.)

Her: I dooaann know how many copies to make.

Me: Look on the class list.

She starts muttering to herself. I busy myself at the computer and refuse to turn around and engage. She starts slamming things around. I refuse to turn around.

She leaves the room. The packets weren't made. A typical day.
