Express66 My dh just challenged me tonight to do it. I would be doing the Twin Cities one!

In case any one is feeling particularly generous.

Kat I'm late to this, but yeah... Twin Cities is MILES better than Chicago.

Since starting roller derby, doing the walk just doesn't fit in. I am going to be eligible to bout this year, and want to concentrate on that. I'm also Director of Events for the team, so am responsible for putting on all the bouts and getting everything in place for those, and doing fundraisers for the team. Fundraising for a walk would put me over the edge

Elisa - If you end up coming out here to walk or even just to support Bill, let me know! I would love to get some of my team out on our skates to cheer on the walkers and we can meet up.

pumpkinsmom OK, I did it. I'm officially registered to "Do the Walk" in Toronto. I may have recruited two more people to keep me company as well.

pumpkinsmom OK, I'm off the fence. I'm doing it. Come on spring! I need ice free sidewalks! lol

ElisaMarie I'm on the fence.

I won't walk or crew in San Diego. My husband has been promoted to route safety crew captain for that walk replacing his friend who was a 10+ year vet at leading the LA/San Diego crew. It's a huge walk and a huge crew and he had already expected it to be a tough year, but now the 3 Day has made some ad.ministrative changes in crew handling and it's shaping up to be a more difficult than necessary. I want to be available to help/support him with whatever he needs.

My mom has been talking about walking San Francisco for years. She did the Avon 2 day in S.anta Barbara last year and really enjoyed it, so said she wants to do SF together. DH is also signed up to crew there and wants me to go with. The last couple of years medical and/or money issues have changed my plans to walk in SF, so I'm still trying to decide whether or not to register.

pumpkinsmom Fundraising is always an issue.

If my body can do this, so can yours! I need to start training now for September.

rebel Twin Cities was better in 2004 than Chicago in 2005, I know.
I'm worried about fundraising. It was hard then, and the economy was much better at that time. And I had Sybermom support.
And, I'm 7 years older

pumpkinsmom I believe that I'm in line with the crazies to do the Toronto walk. I haven't done this for 4 years and I fear for my creaky body.

Harlot I probably am not. I've moved onto Marathons and local fundraising. From what I've heard, Twin Cities is better. Ask Kat. You are not crazy to consider it. I did it five times and loved every second!
